The CR1496 plate is a reusable plate, treated by Enzyscreen, and is typically used in combination with covers CR1296/CR1296a and the CR1700 clamp.
Other characteristics of the plates:
- Square wells of 8x8 mm, 40 mm deep with a round bottom
- Volume per well: 2.2 ml
- Top surface: flattened/polished by Enzyscreen
- Detoxified (removal of leachables) by Enzyscreen in 0.1 M NaOH and HCl respectively (at least 24 hours each)
- This plate has a long "track record" for cultivation purposes: has been used by many research groups for many years (both for microbial strains and animal cells)
